Singer, songwriter, comedian, “marriage therapist extraordinaire” actor & author- James Lee Reeves has worn many hats (his favorite are cowboy). He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and raised on Mercer Island, Washington. James earned his bachelor’s degree in history at UCLA. His parents planned for him to attend law school and become a lawyer, but after serving in the United States Army he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a professional entertainer and songwriter.
He has worked as an actor and guest starred on the NBC TV series “Kung Fu” and James Garner’s series “Nichols.” In the mid 70’s he was sharing the same stage as Jay Leno, David Letterman and Billy Crystal at the Comedy Store in Hollywood. Just as he still does today, his forte was combining music with comedy. James also developed impersonations of Elvis, Dylan, Jagger, Jim Morrison, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash, among others.
